The cooperation between Yongqiang Industrial (China) Co., Ltd. and Fangtian Software began in 2019. Yongqiang chose Fangtian Software B9 enterprise information management system product and started the group's informationization process. In December 2019, the mold management project was officially launched to meet the mold processing management requirements of Yongqiang Industrial (China) Co., Ltd.'s mold department.Mold MESThe construction of the system will achieve the goals of refined control of work orders, progress management, working time statistics and traceability, production capacity control, performance evaluation, and processing costs.

Intelligent mold control to reduce costs and increase efficiency

One of the most important tasks of Yongqiang Industrial (China) Co., Ltd. is mold production. During the production process, it is necessary to manufacture new molds, purchase materials, insert orders, and repair old molds according to the different production needs of customers in different industries. In the early stage, Yongqiang Industrial (China) Co., Ltd. did not have specific paper documents and electronic documents. All planning and scheduling were done by the person in charge, and the workshop did not conduct data statistics. There was no way to capture specific and accurate work reports and progress arrangements. At the same time, the maintenance of molds and equipment was not recorded.
After the introduction of Fangtian Mould MES system, all the purchase lists for each set of moulds are reflected in the system, and the parts BOM of each set of moulds is reflected in the system and the amount of materials is filled in to get the mould cost. From the control of the production of the whole set of moulds to the progress of the production of each part, all mould management information is transparent. It greatly facilitates the extraction and analysis of data, and also avoids the shortcomings of human interference caused by manual reporting and the inconvenience of paper information preservation.

Mold production cycle management, mold maintenance history

The maintenance data of equipment and molds are entered into the system, and reminders of maintenance dates are provided to achieve digital management and improve the work efficiency of personnel.
A corresponding QR code nameplate is printed for each set of molds, and mold maintenance and production reporting is performed through PDA, thereby improving the processing efficiency of staff and the implementation of mold management and control.

Employees can use PDA to scan the code of molds, machines, gauges, etc. that need repair and maintenance and register the repair records, and output the repair and maintenance history of the mold, thereby improving employee work efficiency and achieving effective mold management. At the same time, for gauges with fixed maintenance cycles, fixed early warning reminders are set in the system to predict the information of gauges that need maintenance in advance, achieve information management, and improve personnel efficiency.

Another important task of Yongqiang Industrial (China) Co., Ltd. is that the mold department needs to count the actual working hours of each set of molds in the production process, and feedback the actual processing time of each part of each set of molds based on the actual work report of the workshop, so as to obtain the actual time of each set of molds through software. After the introduction of informatization, the working hours of each part and each employee in each set of molds can be counted, and the company can also conduct professional analysis of the data, saving the workload of people for statistics, and greatly improving the accuracy and timeliness of production management data requirements. At present, the workshop processing uses PDA to scan the code to report work, which is convenient for workshop personnel to report work more conveniently, and the actual operation of the operator is more convenient, which greatly improves the operating efficiency of workshop personnel, avoids waste of resources, extra work, improper management, or material loss, reduces related costs, and ensures the security and reliability of information.

Balanced distribution of production capacity to reduce workpiece blockage

Any processing plant needs to plan and arrange in advance during the production process, so PMC/production management has become a very important role in the factory. So how can production management personnel reasonably distribute the processing tasks they receive? For Yongqiang Industrial (China) Co., Ltd., the technical department is responsible for entering the mold BOM into the system. The new mold requires the project department personnel to operate the big project, set the big project time, and control the big project of the entire mold. Manager Huang, the person in charge of the mold department, arranges the process of each part of the parts BOM issued by the technical department and schedules production according to the big project time. The Fangtian system automatically schedules the time of each part according to the big project time. The workshop personnel can also process the parts according to the time scheduled in the system. The person in charge can consider whether the production capacity is sufficient based on the production capacity of the Fangtian system, so as to determine whether the remaining molds need to be postponed or whether they need to be outsourced, so as to achieve a balanced distribution of production capacity and reduce workpiece congestion;
Based on the actual working hours reported by the workshop personnel and the settings of the Fangtian software, the processing cost of the molds in the mold department is automatically calculated.
Another problem faced by Yongqiang Industrial (China) Co., Ltd. was the lack of good management of molds, which resulted in the inability to control the status of molds. After the introduction of the Fangtian system, the use, return, repair and maintenance of molds were all managed through PDA, thereby controlling the actual status of each set of molds.
