OSG Co., Ltd. was established in 1938. As a listed company in Japan, the company's stock is traded on the Tokyo and Nagoya Stock Exchanges, and it has established branches in Europe, America, Asia and other places. It has now grown into a leading multinational group company in the industry. The company's main business is the manufacture and sale of cutting tools, rolling tools, measuring tools, tool machinery, and mechanical components.

As one of OSG's wholly-owned subsidiaries in China, Dabao (Dongguan) Mold Cutting Tools Co., Ltd. was established in March 1996. It is located in Dalang Town, Dongguan City, a famous manufacturing city in southern China. The company mainly produces screw taps, thread pressing plates, cones and other precision cutting tools. The company has passed the ISO 9001-2000 certification of the German TUV certification company and obtained the OSG global quality certification in 2008.

After more than ten years of operation and development in China, with the strong support of OSG and the leadership of the current chairman, Mr. Toru Endo, general manager, Mr. Keiichi Kawada, and the concerted efforts of all employees, Dabao Company has been able to continue to thrive. It currently has hundreds of member stores in China, and its products cover various industries such as IT, automobiles, aviation, railways, and bridges.

In 2008, Taiwan Fangtian Group cooperated with OSG Co., Ltd., and Fangtian Group provided information construction services for all OSG companies in Greater China, namely TOSG Taiwan Dabao Group. TOSG invested heavily in financial, human and material resources, and Fangtian Group also worked together to live up to the trust. After two years of implementation, across two places, three places and dozens of provinces, it helped TOSG establish a systematic, complete and powerful ERP system, which strongly supported the rapid development of TOSG.

In 2011, TOSG put forward higher requirements to Fangtian Group, expecting Fangtian Group to help Dabao (Dongguan) Mold Cutting Tools to establish a workshop automation integration system, namely MES (Manufacturing Execution System), which is the following modules:

• Work-in-progress management module • Equipment management module • Production status monitoring • Early warning management module • Statistical quality control module

After implementation, it has been delivered and put into use, achieving the following application effects:

• Providing real-time information on production activities (from order start, work order opening to product manufacturing completion and warehousing), the workshop fully adopts data collectors to achieve real-time wireless transmission.

• Appropriate responses and reports can be made to the conditions of manufacturing sites in each industry and various production activities.

• Users (including field operators, department heads, factory supervisors, and corporate and supply chain partners) can use billboards to query real-time changes in production conditions, respond quickly, and focus on field management to reduce defect rates and increase output value, thereby effectively managing factory operations and production processes.

• Provide actual data of various factory equipment to the financial system to calculate cost and efficiency.

• It is used to direct various activities on the production line and thus achieve the overall goals of the enterprise.

• Track and control all relevant information of all products in process in the factory, provide product manufacturing managers with accurate real-time information, and control the production process, machine equipment and process parameters of factory production orders, production batches or components to track the production process so that on-site data can be recorded in real time and accurately.

• Users (senior managers, on-site supervisors, production management, process and related business units) can use the data or reports compiled by the system to make the most accurate and real-time production information, thereby achieving the goal of accurate and rapid on-site production and business decision-making.

• The WIP management module is responsible for processing work order opening, production batch opening (or component offline), process card printing, posting operations at each station (assembly, testing, maintenance, etc.), and inbound and outbound processing operations. In addition, in addition to processing the necessary defective product categories and quantities, it also includes exception handling, exception handling, batch splitting, batch merging, and outsourcing functions.

• Combined with Fangtian ERP enterprise resource system and Fangtian SCM management system, it provides the most authentic and critical information needed in sales activities.

So far, through the implementation of Dabao (Dongguan) mold cutting tools, we have truly experienced the refinement of Japanese factory management and the high degree of automation of workshops.
